haku amek tau pasal mende ni pon sbb las friday maisarah demam dan hasil FBC (full blood count) die menunjukkan mcv die rendah dari paras normal. so..aku ade la wat sket bacaan dan telitian. aku rase nak share ngan korang sume..
The mean corpuscular volume, or "mean cell volume" (MCV), is a measure of the average red blood cell volume that is reported as part of a standard complete blood count.
In patients with anemia, it is the MCV measurement that allows classification as either a microcytic anemia (MCV below normal range), normocytic anemia (MCV within normal range) or macrocytic anemia (MCV above normal range).
The most common causes of microcytic anemia are iron deficiency (due to inadequate dietary intake, gastrointestinal blood loss, or menstrual blood loss), thalassemia, or chronic disease.
A low MCV number in a patient with a positive stool guaiac test (bloody stool) is highly suggestive of GI cancer.
In iron deficiency anemia (microcytic anemia), it can be as low as 60 to 70 femtolitres. In cases of thalassemia, the MCV may be low even though the patient is not iron deficient.

dalam kes maisarah ni... mcv die kalau ikutkan dr. ain tadek la rendah sangat. tapi still di bawah paras normal iaitu 80-100. maisarahnye is round range 70.0-75.8. kalau ikutkan explanation para doktor yang dirujuk...insyaAllah maisarah tak tergolong dalam golongan thalassemia. insyaAllah. amin..mintak dijauhkan. kalau nak direfer pada explanation wikipedia pon same. kalau kes thal mcv die akan lagi rendah dari range maisarah tu.
pape pon aku sentiasa berdoa yang terbaek buat maisarah. arini nampak die sehat sket kalau nak compare ngn semalam. tgk la camne ptg nnt aku amek die dari taska murni. hopefully die bertambah sehat. oh yes..smlm aku bawak die g amek darah kat tanglin. bayangkan lengan die yg kecik dan halus tu kene amek darah sampai 3 container! bnyk btol! kesian die. meraung bukan maen lagik. nnt la aku post pasal tu.
